In and around Holland

Night two in Amsterdam, this time with our bags!! They flew in this morning (phew!).
Anyway, today we drove to a few nice places around Holland, first Volendam, a nice little sea side village full of shops and restaurants. I tried a whole bunch of dutch food, like Crouquets, Bamihopje and Fricandels.. yum! We also […]

Dzien dobry (Hello!) from Poland!

3 days in Poland has given me a small taste of life here and has allowed me to get to know my distant family. My father passed away when i was only 14 and therefore I never knew the Polish side (the Szulc part) of my heritage. My only knowledge was that as depicted in […]

Wales to London

Tonight is our last night in England as tomorrow morning Ruth & I fly to Poland. The last few days we spent driving up to Wales, stopping along the way at Glastonbury, and visited the Glastonbury Tor and King Arthur’s tome.

Movies watched so far: Matchpoint (okay), Failure to Launch (funny) and Pink Panther (good airplane movie, but dont […]

Flight 1 of 10 complete

8 hours of flying and the fun has only just begun. Ruth & I have landed in Singapore on our way to 3 weeks in Europe (two of which are holidays). Another 16 hours and we should be landing in London to begin the first part of the trip… first stop Cornwall.
Much more to come […]

Flex your skills and win!

Have you been meaning to play with Adobe Flex but just needed a little bit of incentive? How about an XBox 360 or LG Plasma screen?
Adobe Australia is running a Flex 2 Developer Derby in conjunction with Builder AU.

The Tipping Point

Last night I finished reading a book called The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. It was recommended to me by Adobe’s Mike Potter and in the author’s words: it’s a book about change. In particular, it’s a book that presents a new way of understanding why change so often happens as quickly and […]
